Designer

The Experiential Designer uses a holistic approach to bring a multi-sensory brand experience to life. Collaborating with event producers, strategists, account and creative teams, the Experiential Designer is responsible for developing brand experience strategies, creative concepts for events, experiential marketing and brand campaigns, and creative content development, design and production of creative deliverables. 

This role reports to the agency Executive Creative Director.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate possesses skills, experience and knowledge designing for physical spaces, live events, and visual communication across digital and printed media. The candidate must be able to generate breakthrough ideas that align with client business objectives, promote engagement, and excel working in a fast-paced environment.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

A. Assigned Client and Project-Specific Creative Direction

  • Lead and/or assist the creative ideation for ongoing and upcoming X-FCTR projects
  • Lead branded content development for projects — brand marketing, experiential marketing, social media and graphic, environmental and interactive design
  • Serve as lead designer on projects and/or work with creative teams in content development
  • Assist with onsite creative execution for live experiences and/or events as needed
  • Participate in client meetings, giving one clear voice to creative strategy and tactical ideation
  • Provide creative insight in guiding internal teams across X-FCTR to meet client goals
  • Assist in pitching creative ideation for new business opportunities as needed
  • Partner with X-FCTR Creative Leads, Producers, Project Managers and Account Managers to provide creative that is consistent with budget parameters, timing and client expectations

B. Communication

  • Support X-FCTR project teams with timely and effective communication
  • Bring fresh creative ideas to the team and/or project
  • Establish effective relationships across X-FCTR multidisciplinary teams — Creative, Production, Strategy, Account Management and Project Management
  • Alert Management and/or supervisors to all critical issues, including timeline convergence and project deadline concerns before they become problematic

C. Administrative

  • Adhere to X-FCTR policies and procedures as outlined in the X-FCTR Employee Handbook
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all internal and external communication including email and voice mail correspondence, etc.
  • Create and assist in building and maintaining agency case studies and marketing materials
  • Save all content and collateral on agency servers
  • Respect meeting and conference call start times by being punctual and prepared 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent design and/or creative writing and brand storytelling skills
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Demonstrated understanding of live event engagement
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop creative solutions that support brand strategy
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, while remaining flexible
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and multitask
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • 4 – 7 years experience in marketing, communications, advertising or events in an agency or client organization (agency preferred) or equivalent
  • B.A. degree (or equivalent) in visual communications, graphic design, advertising, studio art, creative writing/English, or liberal arts 

LOCATION (TIME ZONE)

  • Remote position
  • Must work 9:00am–5:00pm CST 

COMPENSATION

  • Full-time position (40+ hrs/week) with employee benefits
  • Salary commensurate of experience
