For football fans, game day is a ritual rooted in the experience surrounding the game itself. Safeway wanted fans, whether they were at the stadium this week and watching from home the next, to think of them as their retail MVP, with everything they need for a great game day experience.
To maximize their sponsorship at M&T Bank Stadium and FedEx Field, we created a fan experience on the way into the stadium and connected with fans tailgating outside the stadium.
Fans of the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins enjoyed a festive pre-game with a live DJ, visits from the team cheerleaders, an autographed player jersey sweepstakes, free team swag and, of course, sample products, coupons and Safeway gift card.
Throughout the season, we helped scores of fans become fans of Safeway.
